Peter is definitely an authority when it comes to search engine optimization (SEO). I'm in the computer field and I was continually amazed at what a business must know about SEO to have a highly ranked website. He's on his 6th edition so you'd better have an expert like Peter on-call to keep track of Google's & Bings' changes. A lot of the tips are counter intuitive like keep your site text based, content driven and useful to the visitor, instead of image intensive.

Remember the words - links, content and keywords. They'll play an important part in the ranking of your web pages. Want an example of a highly ranked website? Should be required reading for anyone who plans to make templates for others

Saving a PowerPoint file as a template is easy. That's where the "easy" stops, though.

Creating templates that work well across different versions of PowerPoint, on Mac and PC and even between different computers running the same software is another matter altogether. It can be a complex puzzle, but with the right knowledge, you can solve it.

Where do you find that knowledge? This book. Laid out logically, simply, clearly and beautifully.

Where else can you find the same knowledge? Nowhere.

If you're creating templates for other people to use, this is your bible. The gold standard. So good that I bought the Kindle version so I could have it handy on my PC/iPad/iPhone when I'm away from the office. (The Kindle version, by the way, is one of the best examples of a computer book I've ever seen on the Kindle).

This book changed my life.

Among the hundreds or thousands of books that I have read, there remain only two that I can say this about. (The other is _The Color Purple_.) _Two or Three Things..._ is powerfully written. It is beautiful in the same way that it is to discover that someone's cancer has gone into remission. It is dark, it is almost tragic, and yet it is triumphant; I know of few authors who can pull this off, and none so well as Dorothy Allison.
For anyone who has faced or is facing serious adversity in their lives, be it from poverty, sexaul abuse, or anything else, especially for anyone who has gotten through it but not overcome it (you know what your 'it' is): this book will change your life, as well. I have learned a great deal from Dorothy Allison, and I am much the better for it.
Two or three things I know for sure, and one of them is that when I chose life, it was mostly because of this book.

A VITAL AND INSPIRING PIECE OF ORAL HISTORY

For those of you who have read Dorothy Allison's amazing, moving novel BASTARD OUT OF CAROLINA, this book is the bridge between the fiction of that work and the reality of Dorothy's life -- and even without BASTARD as a reference, this is an immensely powerful work.
TWO OR THREE THINGS I KNOW FOR SURE was originally intended as a one-woman stage presentation -- I can only imagine, after reading this slim volume, how powerful that must have been. Allison's writing talents are incredible -- she conveys the frustration, and especially the pain, of growing up sexually abused in the American South, the ignorance and poverty, the feelings of helplessness and hopelessness, in a very real way. It would be difficult to read this book and NOT get angry at what she endured, at the way women in general were treated. The inspiring thing is that she determined to rise above it in the only way she knew how -- by literally re-inventing her own life. Comparing the process of doing this to the telling of a story, she makes it understandable even to those who are not familiar with the courage required by abuse victims to make the transition to being survivors.
Incest and abuse tear families apart and can destroy lives. There's a very revealing story that she tells about looking through old photographs, first with her mom, then with other female family members. There's a palpable reluctance on their part to name everyone they see in the photos -- it's as if the people there don't exist outside the pictures, their lives being so damaged that they have literally disappeared. The subconscious protects us -- we remember what we can handle, when we can handle it.
On p.3, Dorothy makes a statement about 'retelling' her life as a story, re-inventing it in order to hold the pain and cast it off. She says: 'Two or three things I know for sure, and one of them is what it means to have no loved version of your life but the one you made.' The abuse victim can't depend on anyone else to reshape and rebuild what has been broken -- those on the outside can help and support, but only the object of the abuse has the power to decide to choose life as a survivor instead of a victim.
Sexual abuse and incest are extremely uncomfortable topics -- but they occur with greater frequency in our society than most people can or will admit -- and ignoring these painful issues will NOT make them go away. Only by speaking out can courageous survivors like Dorothy Allison give hope and encouragement to those who have yet to take that first important step on the road to healing.
This is an honest and well-written book -- and a moving and important one.

The writing in Dorothy Allison's TWO OR THREE THINGS I KNOW FOR SURE has such a razor edge you'll want to protect your fingers as you hold the book. With unwavering honesty -- and with a somtimes suprising attitude toward the terrible events that have shaped her life -- Allison deftly avoids the two traps so common to pieces of this kind. There is no whining in this book, and there's no smug tone of "but just look at me now" either. Allison comes from a long line of women who have lived difficult, often unhappy lives, but she never condescends to apologize for any of these women. Rather, she understands -- and brings to life for the reader -- the deeply-buried strength and courage that so often these days is interpreted as weakness or lack of imagination. Allison's story is fascinating, peopled by characters who ring as true as our own families (sometimes to devasatatingly personal effect). But it is Allison's harshly poetic prose, even above the subject matter, that makes this book soar. The writing is simple, never showy, and so focused that it seems at times a magnifying glass held at just the proper angle to catch the rays of a white-hot desert sun. The words burn into us, cleansing and scarring at the same time, and when we turn the final page we know that we've just experienced something increasingly rare these days: the truth

HEARTBREAKING, HEARTWARMING, A MUST READ!

This book tells the incredible true story of Taj Rowland, who was kidnapped in his youth and sold to an orphanage in India. The corruption and heartbreak in that poverty stricken country and the journey that eventually led him home, is nothing less than miraculous!

This book is an easy read—a beautifully written 'page turner' that's both heartbreaking and heartwarming—a story that definitely needed to be told. Its a story that touches the heart and reminds the reader of the importance of family and the unbreakable bonds that tell us 'who we are' and connect us forever. It's about finding the lost child inside all of us and our innate desire to know we are loved—that we belong.

A Great Book Club Read

I finished this book in two days because it was hard to put down. My book club is now reading it and I expect a great discussion on family relationships, culture vs nurture, and the importance of knowing where we came from. Human trafficking is still going on and if Taj had been kidnapped when he was a little younger he might never have remembered he had a family in India. You will learn a little about East Indian culture and the deep yearning of the the human spirit to find ones true identity.

"The Orphan Keeper" takes the reader from the heart wrenching days of a young boy kidnapped from India to his adjustment to American life. It is a very compelling story of a desire for him to learn who he is and eventually a search for his biological family with very little information available regarding their whereabouts. I appreciate that the author tells this true story without the use of foul language.

Paula Cross has taken great care to write on this very complex subject,exposing the nature and characteristics of the spirit of Python. I appreciate her thoroughness to explain the governmental structure of the demonic realm, Satan's goal of overtaking the earth and and his methods of carrying out his agenda. Every person needs to understand the enemy that works against them in order to rob, plunder and destroy their ability to succeed in life. This author has in depth understanding of this subject that she shares with the public in order to help them walk out of darkness and into freedom. I highly recommend the book!

An absolute must-read! Untangle yourself from the bondage of the python forever!"

I have been attacked by this spirit before - and just when I thought I knew everything about it, out comes Paula Cross's book! This book is excellent in explaining how intricately weaved this spirit actually is in the lives of Christians. Paula describes in detail how this spirit works on so many levels that I highly doubt any Christian who reads this will still walk away with the question "what on earth is happening to me?" What I liked about the book, is that you come to such a great understanding of the workings of the spirit because Paula gives detailed accounts of her own life and patterns of thinking while under attack by this spirit, that many will identify with. But she also provides a wonderful balance to the book of God's grace and the importance of a relationship with Him - which ultimately will provide you with wisdom to defeat this spirit!

Paula's explanation of law verses grace is excellent, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Highly recommended!

I am still reading this book however, it is so good and helpful in explanation and detail. It is amazing how simple the concept but how tricky the enemy as Python seeks to choke the life out of us. I was touched by the power of Christ in this book and how anyone can defeat the enemy with this simple yet powerful truth.
