Gives detailed and excellent advice on all that you would need to know... choosing the bird, feeding, housing, teaching, handling, etc. Very informative, with plenty of photos. A definite should-buy for anyone considering a cockatiel as a pet.

I'm a new cockatiel owner my husband got it for me for a birthday present actually early birthday present. I have read and re read the book over and over again. I still enjoy it.Also I look for information on cockatiels on the internet so I feel pretty well set on information I need.I got the bird on August 13,2001 from a breeder in town.He's a emerald cockatiel which is a recessive gene mutation. His name is Tristan Jade and I call him "Jade" for short.I have really enjoyed him tremendously :)Cockatiels are amazing birds!This book has all the things I needed to know.If you miss something then you can look it up in the index at the back of the book or read the pages over.You will see something you missed.

But if you're just beginning, like me, this book gives a great overview of all the things you need to consider when buying and taking care of a cockatiel. This book gives you basic information about feeding, maintenance, and characteristics of this great bird. By giving a brief and user friendly introduction to cockatiels, the author allows you to find the areas which require additional research based on your situation. Overall I'd say this book deserves an A++.

Missing A Lot

This has only about 75% of the contents of the original edition of this book by the same author and publisher and with the same title. The content it has is basically the same as the earlier edition but this edition has about 190 fewer pages and their photos.

I suggest purchasing the earlier edition if you can find it at a reasonable price as both editions are the same page size and general format. The summaries for each section are also the same in both editions per my quick check.

David Leddick never lets me down. I purchased this book for a friend of mine who was in the need for a fab coffee table book. I knew David Leddick when I lived in Miami so I'm privy to his work. Beautiful book and a must for any man who loves to gaze at handsome, naked men.

The best book on Physiology - by far!

As a Physics PhD, with a great interest in human physiology, I have read, or attempted to read a great number of books, from all the main authors on the subject. While there are many excellent books to consider, none, in my opinion come close to this book. Clear but without being simplistic, always to the point and with a great writing style, it never gets boring or convoluted, delivering the maximal amount of information per page. The great illustrations help cement the knowledge, but it is the writing that is engaging. I will go as far as saying that this book reads almost like a best selling novel, making it hard to put down as one moves from one concept to the next. One suggestion to make this the perfect book is to include a chapter on the immune system in the next edition. Thanks to the authors for writing such a great book on such a fascinating subject.

The Best Review of Physiology for the USMLE Step 1!

Forget about BRS Physiology with boring dry style, short on clinical correlations, lacking in the major important areas (like acid-base physiology), and with the shameful number of illustrations. LIR Physiology is the new standard for studying physiology and reviewing it for the USMLE step 1. Everything important is here, presented succinctly, explained elegantly, and illustrated with the hundreds of beautiful illustrations. And what's most important for the USMLE Step 1 - there are numerous clinical correlations with detailed yet concise discussions which undoubtedly will help you to ace the boards. Multiple choice questions at the end of each chapter are also much better in LIR Physiology - unlike those in BRS Physiology they are mostly case-based and USMLE-ish.

This is an excellent book for beginners as a first step.It will give you a general idea of facility design and won't overwhelm you with theoretical aspect of it but certainly you will need further studies in order to embark in real design projects.I definitely recommend it to students or engineers who for the first time are interested in the subject.

I would like to say thank you for your perfect sharing. I expect to come out this book before 2012 and I have been learn without guide line.
Once I read yours, I notice that you didn't explain how to collaborate Robot Structure with other structure related application as BIM basic, and CSi products.
So I hope, you will be come out for next Professional or advance reference book soon. I would like to advise to include above items for widely usage for structure designer or engineer.

Great book for learning Autodesk Robot

Very good book for beginners in Robot.
Telling a lot of hidden features and describing many advanced features that is impossible to learn in Robot's helpfile.
The book is pedagogic as well.
I will recommend it to both beginners and normal users and i hope that Ken Marsh will write a book for even more advanced users very soon.
